University of South Alabama

LEED for New Construction

Build Green Schools

The University of South Alabama's new dining facility will be the first building on campus to be LEED Certified. A 23,000 square foot multi-purpose dining hall for students and faculty; the building's energy use will be reduced by maximizing the use of daylight and by reducing heat load with a reflective roof. Water conserving fixtures will decrease water consumption. Indoor air quality will be optimized with low voc paints and finishes as well as best practices by HVAC contractor during construction.
