‘Petite Charbon’ Pictured in Southern Living
We’re proud to see our Petite Charbon project highlighted in Southern Living! The photo appears in the "groundbreakers" profile of Alex Cary, director of Fortified market development at IBHS and a longtime friend of Watershed's.
Our relationship with Alex goes back to 2009, Watershed's very first year, when we collaborated with her on Baldwin County Habitat for Humanity's Greenbuild '09 – a LEED Gold certified affordable home. Alex was the construction manager for Habitat at the time and oversaw that groundbreaking project.
Since then, we've worked with her on numerous Fortified Homes and the first pilot projects to earn Fortified Commercial certification, but her influence goes well beyond those individual buildings. Alex's work behind the scenes is having a real and lasting impact on Gulf Coast communities, and we are delighted to see her commitment to resilient, sustainable building celebrated!
